Need more power points? Our socket installation service in Oxford adds new sockets, moves old ones and fits USB, outdoor and kitchen sockets, all tested and certified.
Extension leads and stacked adaptors are a common cause of overheating. If you rely on them, the room needs more sockets. We add double sockets behind the TV, beside beds, in home offices and along kitchen worktops so every item has its own place to plug in.
More Information
Sockets with built in USB-A and USB-C ports let you charge phones and tablets without bulky plugs. Smart sockets can be switched on and off from your phone. We fit both, in a range of finishes from white plastic to brushed chrome and black nickel.
An outdoor socket makes it easier to use mowers, pressure washers and garden lights. We fit weatherproof sockets with a lockable cover and RCD protection. Most are wired from an existing indoor circuit and can be fitted and tested in a couple of hours.
UN Electrical & Maintenance adds and moves sockets in homes and businesses across Oxford. It might be a small job, but it still needs doing properly, with the right cable, a check on the circuit and a full test at the end. Our electricians are City & Guilds qualified, work to the 18th Edition rules and have 10 years in the trade. You get a free quote and a clear price.

STILL NOT SURE?
Adding a single socket from an existing circuit usually takes one to two hours. Several sockets, or ones that need cable run under floors or through walls, take longer. If a new circuit is needed, it may take most of a day. We confirm timings when we give you your free quote.
Yes. We can move sockets to a new position, such as higher up for a wall mounted TV or across the room after a layout change. We run new cable from the existing circuit, fit the socket and make the old position safe and tidy with a blank plate or filler.
Often, yes. If the existing ring circuit is in good condition and not overloaded, we can add sockets to it. For heavy appliances like ovens, we may advise a dedicated circuit instead. We test the circuit before adding to it, so you know it is safe to extend.
